A musician for over 40 years, Johnny has been quietly honing his craft while playing with various groups around Cheshire, however in 2019, everything changed.

After being diagnosed with cancer amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, Johnny turned to his writing to help him cope, penning over 20 new songs covering a range of topics and emotions. Good news was soon to come though, as he was given the all clear in June 2020 after going into remission. 

​

Johnny's resolve would be tested though, as his beloved wife Dinah was diagnosed with a brain tumour not long after. A resilient and brave woman, Dinah fought through many painful rounds of treatment throughout the year. Sadly on August 17th 2020, Dinah lost her battle. 

​

Johnny continued writing and playing in her memory, and came together with Dan Hopwood at Pluto Music to record an album of songs in order to raise money in Dinah's memory. The first of these songs, Who's the One, will be released on all online record stores on the 6th of November, with the album following on the 27th of November. 

​

With a CD Release to follow, Johnny's hope is to use the sales of this album to donate money to The Christie Hospital in Manchester, and Leighton Hospital in Cheshire, where Dinah received such excellent care.
